As the product designer on this project, I began by working with program developers to understand the required features and functions of the websites, identify key users and the tasks they were visiting the site to complete, and map the flow of user events and automated email communications.
I continued to work closely with operations and program development to map user the intertwining journeys based on three distinct user types. These maps were used to identify key website functions and guide the development of intuitive site structures.
With the product maps as a guide, I created hi-fidelity prototypes for the three websites, incorporating key elements from the City of Portland’s existing brand to create a seamless experience for Portland’s administrators and residents.
A password-protected portal where program administrators and City Officials can access program data, review applications, and interact with participating bike shops.
A password-protected portal for participating bike shops to redeem vouchers, track payment status, and view their shop’s program-related sales.
A public website for Portland residents to apply for an e-bike voucher, learn about the program, and retrieve their voucher code.
